Rachel Yoder is an American writer, author of the debut novel Nightbitch, which was published in 2021 by Doubleday and became a literary sensation, immediately attracting the attention of critics, readers, and Hollywood producers. The book has been translated into more than 10 languages, and a film adaptation starring Amy Adams was released in 2024.
Yoder grew up in the Anasamian (Mennonite) community in Ohio and received her MFA in fiction from the University of Iowa. Her writing has appeared in The New York Times, The Paris Review, Kenyon Review, and elsewhere. She was also among the founders and first editors of the literary journal Draft: The Journal of Process, which explores how writers create their texts.
